Why when it goes so good does it go so bad?

Have refound my love for Poker, especially deepstack MTT's. Does not bother me sitting at a table for 4 hours trying to see can I out play my various oppponents.
All week i was looking forward to my 30 dollar double stack freezeout on the PP network. i played my usual game whereby in the early levels i will not raise any had less than AQ and am happy to fold if miss flop or feel that an opponent has a bigger hand.
Played solidly for almost 4 hours with my largest stack being twice the average. Won all hands that went down to the river and even managed to bust aces with a small set.
19 players left (starting field 346) and down to 28k with the blinds at 3,000 and 6,000. Lad on the big blind was playing a huge stack and appeared to be uber tight. I picked up kj suited 1 off the button. As i am ure you all know this is not a hand to limp with and certainly not a hand that can be calling a raise. However, unless u run into AA, Ak, Aj, KK KQ, QQ, or JJ you probably are not in the worst position if u push as you certainltly have live cards and at that late stage if you are live u need to take your chances. in any event, it is folded around to me and i thought to my self this could be a good time to push. i have not played alot of hands and as i said i have always had the goods when i did. i decide that i should push hoping t pick up blinds but unfortunately for me I get and instant call from the button which i am hating as i know the best i can hope for is a 10's or less or maybe AQ (i say aq as i might as well be up against that hand as a pair as i need to hit no matter what). Unforuntately for me the lad in question has AJ (which is not a hand i like to call with) but i d imagine the villian was delighted when the cards were turned over and he sees that he has me completely dominated.

Nonetheless, in good old PP style the flop come 3 diamonds and i am thing my god is this the mircle flop i have been waiting for as i am now miles a head. The pot has almost 60k in it which is considerably above average stack and will certainly put me in a position that i can fold a couple of more rounds until i pick up a spot that i think i am going to be good from. unfortunately for me when i looked up at the villians card he has ace diamonds (that dreaded re draw) and when the turn comes a blank i am praying to god that the river will be anything other than a diamond. Alas titan did not disappoint with its usual kick in the nuts and delivered a fourth diamond for me to be busted and go out in 19th. it takes u a while to get over the sickness of it all and your are hoping that its all a bad dream but eh that is poker.

As sick as that was it is not as sick as the beat that i took earlier in the 100 dollar freexe out from some scotish idiot.
I was playing about 4.5 k and the blinds are 200/400. i am on the bb and i pick up AQ suited. the villian decides to raise in the cut off for 1200 (he is playing 5k). i am not the greatest player in the world but i understand that his range in that position is quite wide and not wanting to call and play remainder of the hand out of position i decide to push happy to take the 1800 chips in the middle and hoping he has not got a big pair. When i get an instant call i am once again thinkin i am absolutely dominated and best i can hope for is a race. Alas no, the villian turns over a 4 as if it is the best hand in poker and PP rewards him for his top class call by giving him a 4 on the flop. he then proceeded to type, i am sory but i had odds to call. for some reason, i dont believe he did. surely in that position the best he can hope is that i have 22, 33, or a2, a3. watched the idiot for a while and he then managed to donk aa with 99 not via a set but via another instant call which rewarded him with a 9 high flush. i buddied him up and hope to see him at a cash table some night with plenty of wod in front of him as no doubt he ll donate it to the cause.
this is my first night blogging and am more than happy for anybody to lend their opinions on poker hands etc. its always good to learn
all the best for now.
